I bet you're asking yourself, "Who are these guys?" Well, we're just a group of average gamers. We consider Lost Planet to be an independent video game studio. We have taken the time to carefully examine different video game elements and identify what makes a game good. We also share the crazy dream of making "better" games for the future. We consist of several dedicated members. We get work done whenever we get the chance. Athough our studio is not quite a studio yet, our number of members and our progression of work makes us who we are. Like most average gamers, we have a lot of experience playing video games, but we are currently gaining experience in learning how to make video games. You will see that all of our members are different in their ideas of a good video game and what they wish to do in order to make a game. This will only help further the process of creating something spectacular. We hope you will stick with us on our mission to bring better games in the future.
Codename: Lio
Age: 17
Positions: Team Leader, Art Director, Writer
Favorite Games: The Legend of Zelda series, Galaga, the Metroid Prime series, Supermario World, Halo: Combat Evolved
Consoles of Choice: I love all the consoles, because I firmly believe the differences make them all unique.
Favorite Genres: Action/Adventure, Shooter, Arcade
Bio: I founded the studio back in 2003 when it used to be a third-rate video game review site. I always had a dream of doing something great with something I loved and when I understood how much of an impact video games have made on society, I knew this was what I wanted to do in life. So I got this idea and talked with my friends about it and soon turned that junkie video game review site into LPT or Lost Planet Technologies. That was the original name for LPS. My friends thought it was a great idea and soon ideas kept blazing in my mind for a video game especially since video games are one of my favorite things. Our first game, which we are still currently working on, took about 3 years to come up with a decent storyline. It was fun watching Project Titan evolve so much. It's amazing to come up with these stories and works of art for a visual masterpiece. Video games should tell a story and I strongly believe that they teach us a lot, despite the fact that some people take advantage of video games and make them seem like a bad things. I have always had a good feeling about LPS since the idea first popped into my head. I don't know where I'd be with it though without the help of my friends. I now lead my best friends in meetings trying to focus on what work needs to be done for the studio and our games. I am primarily the art director for the studio. I participate in meetings by coming up with concept art and ideas for the games. I love art so much and have been influenced by it my entire life, from specific genres of music to the fine feeling of a piece of paper. Drawing is my life and if I didn't have such a rich imagination, I'd be no where. I also work at presenting ideas for new games which we write down and save until we are done with the current project. I love stories, especially very vibrant stories with an innovative twist. I hope to make LPS a professional video game studio and bring gamers the great games they want for the future. You have to start with a dream and grip it tight, or you may never accomplish anything in life. Which is why I have LPS in the front of my mind, along with my friends who have helped me out so much.
Codename: Orion
Age: 17
Positions: Team Co-Leader, Music/SFX Designer, 3D Modeller
Favorite Games: Silent Hill, Legend of Zelda, Mortal Kombat, Red Faction, and classic 80's games
Consoles of Choice: Playstation 1/2/3, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64
Favorite Genres: Shooter, Horror, Fighting, Action/Adventure
Bio: I've been in numerous projects before joining LPS, composing music and designing sound effects. I'm most highly influenced by video game composers such as Dan Forden (Mortal Kombat series), Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill series), and Koji Kondo (mainly his works for the Zelda series). As most video game composers do, I primarily use synthesizers for my soundtracks, but I am also a pianist, organist, guitarist, bassist, drummer, and percussionist (malletaphones, tympani, and auxillary percussion). I've become skilled with various audio software programs and studio equipment as well. I've studied music theory for about 4 or 5 years and composing for nearly the same amount of time. I have been into 3D modelling and landscaping for about 2 years at this point and I'm still developing those skills. Over the course of time in LPS, Lio and I have become very serious about LPS and we've vowed to eachother as friends and partners-in-business to make beinging LPS up on it's feet as an established business.
Codename: T-Bone
Age: 17
Positions: Cinematic Writer/Artist
Favorite Games: the Halo trilogy, the Splinter Cell series, Fable: The Lost Chapters, Assassin's Creed
Consoles of Choice: Xbox, Xbox 360
Favorite Genres: Shooter (primarily FPS), Action/Adventure, RTS
Bio: I joined LPS when the studio first started off back in 2003. I used to do a lot of the work as the first co-Leader for LPS and presented many of the ideas LPS uses for the studio. I decided to hand my position as co-leader over to Orion in 2006. I want to stick to script writing and the cinematics of the game because it's hard to find time to help manage a studio. When I get presented with a level outline or an idea for a game, I really try to do my best to get work done. Im usually very busy with my school work and find it hard to do story writing for LPS, but when the time comes around for me to do my work, I get it done.
Codename: Paleo
Age: 19
Positions: Enemy/Boss Designer, Level Designer, Gameplay Conceptualist
Favorite Games: Metroid series, Half-Life series, Mario series (his platformers & rpgs), Starfox series, Tetris, Shadow of the Colossus, Endless Ocean, Rock Band/Guitar Hero series
Platforms of Choice: Nintendo systems and PC are my favorite, but I also play other various platforms
Favorite Genres: Platformer, Action/Adventure, Puzzle, Simulation, Rhythm
Bio: When I heard about LPS, I thought it would be an interesting thing to do since I'm very fond of gaming. I'm a very avid gamer and I'm usually the one out of the team that knows all about upcoming games, releases and conventions. I try to help as much as I can when coming up with new ideas and games. I currently design different enemies, bosses, levels, and even entire games, but I don't think I should go too far into that right now. I also give advice whenever going over storylines or what type of gameplay would be suited best for a game. Hopefully, LPS can bring a satisfying gameplay experience to the players of the games we create. As one of the older members of LPS, I try to find others already in pursuit of this same dream of being a developer that can join as well as trying to get word out about our team and website. That's one of the reasons I asked Tyler to join us, since he had already thought of making games and is currently going to school for it. Ever since he joined we have really been making progress in making our games a reality. Even though they're small right now, I believe that sometime in the next few years, we may be able to start our larger projects.

Bio: I'm a hyperactive, lazy, serious, short-tempered, laughable, lovable guy. You may think that's weird, but all of it is true. If I'm not working hard, I'm hardly working. If I'm not thinking quietly to myself, I'm talking loudly to others. I got into video games at a small age and that's what sparked my imagination. From then on I pursued a career in making games using the many ideas in my head. Me and my best friend, David Bartz, teamed up to tag team the process of making our own games and called ourselves "The Black Wolves". Unfortunately, with our limited resources and lack of support, we realized that if we wanted to get anything done, we needed help. I heard about LPS from my good friend Josh Tyson and decided to check out one of their meetings. I decided to join LPS so I could get the help I need in exchange for my services.
